74TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

 

This year we celebrated 74th Independence Day in a unique way due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. This day has it's own importance as we got freedom on this day from British rule after almost 200 years of its ruling. We faced a lot of struggles and sacrifices many lives during this period. On this day we pay tribute to the leaders who fought for India's freedom.

PM Narendra Modi, on this day, addressed the nation from the Red Fort.

Some of the important highlights of his speech :

  • He focuses on Atmanirbhar Bharat that is to make India a self- reliant country.
  • He has given stressed to follow the mantra of 'Make for World' along with 'Make in India'.
  • He also appeals to the nation to take a pledge to make 'Vocal for Local'.
  • PM Modi also pays tribute to coronavirus warriors and told about the coming up of coronavirus vaccine. India has ongoing three vaccine development and India is ready for its massive production once these vaccines get all clearances.
  • He also announced an agricultural infrastructure fund of Rs. 1 lakh crore.
  • He also remembered the ceremony of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan which he performed on August 5.
  • In his speech, he told us how India has removed all restrictions from the agriculture and farming sector in the interest of our Indian farmers so that they can sell their products anywhere at the best possible prices.
  • PM Narendra Modi also said that " We are expanding NCC in border areas and special training will be provided to about 1 lakh new NCC cadets."
  • He focused on the New Education Policy of India which helps in shaping the future of our Country.
  • On 15 August 2020, he will be introducing a National Digital Health Mission which will bring revolution in the health sector.
In this speech which lasted for one hour twenty-six minutes, he mentions the following words:
  •  Atmanirbhar - 32 times 
  • Vikas - 18 times
  • One Nation - 7 times
  • Freedom - 24 times
  • Farmers - 22 times 
  • Women - 21 times 
  • Middle class - 16 times
  • Border - 11 times
This ceremony of Independence Day at Red Fort was attended by nearly 4000 people keeping in mind all safety precautions like wearing masks followed by social distancing norms.
Many political leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah hoists National Flag at their residence only. Jawans of the Indo- Tibetan Border police hoisted the national flag at 16000 feet in the UT of Ladakh.
We hope that these steps by our government will be successful in making India a developed country.

Remembering Sindutai on World day of War Orphan

  On Jan 6, every year World day of War Orphans is recognised. Sindhutai Sapkal, renowned social worker and Padma Shri awardee popularly known as the mother of orphans is no more with us on this day. She die on 4th January 2022 due to heart attack at the age of 73. She is the mother of thousands orphans. She devoted her entire life for these children. At her early age of 12, she was married to the person who was 20 years older to her. Her marriage did not subsists and her mother also rejected her. She was forced to lived on the streets and begged. Therefore she decided to adopt orphan children who do not have parents and decided to provide shelter to them. She had adopted more than 1000 children and provide them food, education and shelter. Prime Minister Narender Modi also paid tribute to Sindhutai Sakpal by saying that many children could lead a better quality of life due to her efforts. She is a source of motivation to all of us. She had struggle a lot in her life. She is always rem
