The Senior Citizens age above 60yrs needs special attention and especially those who are already suffering from diseases like hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and many more because the risk of getting infected from coronavirus is greater in this category of people.
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment along with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare also issued the guidelines for the elderly population of the country to fight this deadly disease coronavirus.
Senior Citizens in order to protect themselves from this deadly disease must adopt the following measures:
- Avoid going outside. Stay at home only.
- Take proper meals on time to boost their immune system.
- Do spend some time with their close relative.
- While sneezing and coughing used handkerchief or tissue paper and dispose of immediately after use in the proper dustbin.
- If possible, do some exercise.
- Take medicine on time.
- They must engage themselves in some activity like reading religious books, talk to their friends, play with their grandchildren, watch television, etc. in order to keep themselves busy whole day.
